How Much Does Padel Cost in the UK? Real Club Prices, October 2026

Short answer: at the clubs below, an hour of padel costs between £3.75 and £14.67 per player. A whole court costs £15 to £58.68 an hour. The cheapest slots are weekday mornings outside London. The dearest are peak slots in London.

I've played in London, Essex and Manchester, and prices move a lot from club to club. So below is what a non-member pays at eight clubs, nearly all of it from the clubs' own price and booking pages. At one of them, the same hour costs two and a half times as much at 6pm as at 9am. Prices checked 18 and 19 October 2026.

"Peak" means something different at every club

This is where people get caught. Book 4.30pm at one club and you're off-peak. Book it at the next and you're paying full whack.

  • Stratford: peak is Monday to Friday 5pm to 9.30pm, and 8am to 6.30pm at weekends.
  • TraffordCity: peak is weekdays 4pm to 11pm and all day at weekends. Off-peak is weekdays 6am to 4pm.
  • Surge Bristol: £15 on weekday mornings, £20 from noon to 5pm, £38 from 5pm to 10pm. Weekends are £20.
  • Rawdon: off-peak runs 7am to 3pm on weekdays and all weekend. Peak is 4pm to 9pm on weekdays. A weekend game here is the cheap one.
  • Wetherby: peak is Monday to Friday, 5pm to 10pm.
  • Game4Padel Thistle: the higher price applies on weekdays from 5pm and all weekend.
  • Beaulieu: the page doesn't say when peak starts. Check the app.

What one game a week costs over a year

Same prices, per player, one session every week for 52 weeks.

Club Weekly at peak Weekly off-peak
Beaulieu Padel (90 min) £1,092 £832
Stratford Padel Club (60 min) £763 £624
TraffordCity, covered £624 £468
Edinburgh Sports Club £520 £520
Surge Padel, Bristol £494 £195 (weekday mornings)
Rawdon, Leeds £468 £364
Game4Padel Thistle £468 £364
Wetherby Padel Club £312 £208

Two things jump out. First, moving your regular game out of peak saves somewhere between £100 and £300 a year at most of these clubs. At Surge it's £299, just for playing at 9am instead of 6pm. Second, where you live matters as much as when you play. A peak hour at Stratford costs each player nearly two and a half times what it costs at Wetherby.

Why London costs more

City AM's answer is land. In September 2025, it reported that in the capital, where land costs are high, courts "can sometimes cost over £95 per hour", with many rates for four people over an hour sitting around £60. Stratford's £58.68 peak hour sits right on that line. In the same piece, Nick Baker of UK Padel said an off-peak court at his company's venues is about £26.

Outdoor courts are a quieter way to save. At TraffordCity, the two outdoor courts are £6 cheaper an hour at peak than the nine covered ones. Fine in October, more of a gamble in January. Our guide to indoor courts in winter covers that trade.

Does a membership pay for itself?

Run the numbers on one real club before you sign. Here's Stratford, using its own price page.

  • A member pays £10 a head for a peak hour. A non-member pays £14.67. That's £4.67 saved each time.
  • One peak game a week saves you £242.84 a year.
  • The 12-month plan is a one-off £220. So at one game a week it pays for itself, with about £23 to spare.
  • The rolling monthly plan is £25, or £300 a year. At one game a week, it doesn't cover itself on court savings alone. At two games a week, it does easily.

Read the small print too. At Wetherby, the member discount only applies to your own share of the court. The £12 member court price only happens when all four players are members. Bring three non-members and they pay the normal rate.

The extras nobody mentions

Racket hire. Some clubs charge, some don't, and some don't hire at all. Wetherby leaves free rackets out at all times. Rawdon asks players to bring their own. Rocket Padel Bristol includes free racket rental in its cheapest membership, £10 a month, and gives students free hire with a valid ID. If you're borrowing a racket every week, that changes the maths.

Bundles. Surge Bristol sells £100 of off-peak court time for £90. That's 10% off if you were going to play daytime anyway.

Grips. A fresh overgrip is about the cheapest kit upgrade you can make. Ours are £7 for three.

What you wear. You don't need to spend anything to start. Clothes you already own are fine for your first games. If you want one good tee for the drink after, our heavyweight tees are £48, or any two for £90. Or browse the essentials. UK delivery is free on orders of £75 and over.

FAQ

How much is padel per person in the UK? At the clubs in the table, £3.75 to £14.67 an hour when four of you split a court. A 90-minute session runs £16 to £22 each. London evenings are at the top. Weekday mornings in Bristol and Leeds are at the bottom.

Is 90 minutes better value than an hour? Not at Stratford. Its 90-minute court is priced at one and a half times the hour, give or take 2p: £88 against £58.68 at peak, £72 against £48 off-peak. You pay for the time, not a bundle. Book 90 minutes because you want the extra half hour, not to save money.

Is padel cheaper outside London? At these clubs, yes. The cheapest peak hours are in Leeds and Bristol, £6 to £9.50 each. But Edinburgh Sports Club charges £40 an hour at all times, which is more than a peak hour at Rawdon or Game4Padel Thistle. Check the club, not the city.

How do I see the price before I book? Open the club's booking app and pick a slot. The price shows before you pay, and Playtomic and Padel Mates both let you split it with the other three players. Our booking apps guide shows which app each club uses.
