Padel in London: The Clubs, Area by Area

Finding a padel court in London is not the hard part. Picking one is. Every club uses a different app, some courts have a roof and some don't, and the bar matters more than anyone admits.

I've played at loads of clubs across London, so here's the useful version. The clubs below are grouped by side of town, with the courts, whether they're covered, the nearest station, how you book, and what happens after the match. Then a straight answer on who each one suits.

For a sense of how fast this has moved: Stratford Padel Club opened in December 2018 with three courts. By February 2024 it had nine.

Court counts are from each club's own page, Playtomic, iPadel or the LTA London guide, checked October 2026.

East London

East is where the big indoor sites are. If you want to play in January without checking the forecast, start here.

Rocket Padel Ilford is the biggest on this list. Twelve panoramic indoor courts, two of them tournament centre courts. The LTA notes it has a singles court you can book, which is rare. Rocket lists a pro shop, a bistro and bar, a warm-up zone, a gym called The Lab and on-site parking. There's even a PodGolf golf simulator if someone in the group would rather swing a club. Group sessions include mix-ins, six-week courses, lunchtime intensives and technical clinics. Memberships start at £23 a month. It's about a ten-minute walk from Redbridge tube.

Suits: the player who wants to get properly better. Lots of courts means more chance of a slot, and the clinic menu is wide.

Stratford Padel Club has nine indoor courts, seven minutes' walk from Stratford High Street DLR. You book through the club's own app, which runs on Matchpoint, not Playtomic. On site: bar and hot food, a padel shop, a beer garden, table tennis, a strength gym, lockers and showers. There's a LaunchPad programme for people who have never held a racket. Free cycle racks too, and only limited parking.

Suits: groups of mates. Nine courts, a beer garden and a beginner route means you can bring the friend who has never played.

Rocket Padel Beckton on Triumph Road has five indoor courts under a ceiling of more than nine metres. There's a restaurant, bar, pro shop, a full gym and an upstairs co-working space that looks down on the courts. The Recovery Room has a cold plunge, a jacuzzi, a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna. Parking is free.

Suits: the person who wants to make an afternoon of it. Play, gym, sauna, laptop, home.

Padium Canary Wharf at 10 Bank Street has seven indoor courts and two outdoor. The centre court has GameCam, which records your match so you can watch it back. Downstairs there's a pro shop and the Ace Bar for coffee, smoothies and light bites. Upstairs is a lounge with co-working space. Towels are provided. Courts run 6am to midnight, seven days a week, booked on Padel Mates, and the club is a short walk from Canary Wharf station.

Suits: office players and corporate groups. A 6am game before work is a real option here.

South and south-east London

Padel Box Bermondsey on Rollins Street has five panoramic indoor courts. Above them is what they call the Social Box: a coffee shop, bar, a mezzanine balcony looking down on play, and work booths. There's a fully stocked pro shop and free parking. It's a 12-minute walk from South Bermondsey station. Monthly membership is £30 and includes free racket rental and use of the gym area.

Suits: players who like to watch the game after the game. The balcony is the point.

Padel Social Club The O2 has two riverside courts, both outdoor, by Peninsula Square. Nearest tube is North Greenwich. On weekdays it opens at 5pm, so this is an after-work spot. There's a café and a small store, and racket hire is £5. Parking is The O2's paid parking, not the club's own.

Suits: summer evenings and a Thames view. On a wet February night, go somewhere covered.

Rocket Padel Battersea, also called the CUPRA Arena, opened in September 2024 at Battersea Power Station. Four indoor panoramic courts sit inside an 11-metre glass building looking out over the Thames. There's a pro shop, a bistro and bar, a lounge and a warm-up zone. Rocket says it hosts corporate events on some weekday evenings, so peak slots can be tight.

Suits: a polished hour on court before dinner in Nine Elms. Small, so book ahead.

West London

Padel Social Club Earl's Court on Empress Place has six courts: four outdoor (one is a glass show court) and two indoor. Reception, shop and a two-storey bar and lounge. Open 7am to 11pm every day. Nearest tube is West Brompton. No parking on site.

Suits: the social player who wants the bar as much as the court. Book the indoor courts from November to March if you hate the cold.

Padel Social Club Paddington at 5 Kingdom Street has four courts, two indoor and two outdoor, plus a shop, bar and lounge. Paddington station is right there and there's no parking, so come by train. Open 7am to 11pm, with a 10pm finish on Sundays.

Suits: people commuting through Paddington who want a game on the way home.

Parkside Padel in Southall has three indoor courts, according to the LTA. Pay and play or membership.

Suits: west London players who want something smaller and closer to home than the central clubs.

North London

The Padel Hub N20 in Whetstone has six indoor courts under a 10-metre ceiling, which helps if you like a high lob. Café, bar and changing rooms. Pay and play is booked on Playtomic, and members get gym access and discounted coaching. Weekday hours are 7am to 10pm.

Suits: north London regulars who want indoor courts without crossing town.

Social Sports Society at Wembley Park has four outdoor courts, per the LTA. Pay and play or membership.

Suits: fair-weather games and anyone already heading to Wembley.

Early, late and on the way home

London padel is mostly played around work. So the two things that decide where you play are when the club is open and how close it is to your commute.

Club Nearest station Hours we found
Padium Canary Wharf Canary Wharf 6am to midnight, every day
Padel Social Club Earl's Court West Brompton 7am to 11pm, every day
Padel Social Club Paddington Paddington 7am to 11pm (10pm Sunday)
Padel Box Bermondsey South Bermondsey, 12 min walk 7am to 11pm, every day
The Padel Hub N20 Check with club 7am to 10pm weekdays
Padel Social Club The O2 North Greenwich From 5pm on weekdays
Stratford Padel Club Stratford High Street DLR, 7 min walk Check app
Rocket Padel Ilford Redbridge, about 10 min walk Check app

Hours are from Playtomic and the clubs' own pages in October 2026, and they change. Always check the app before you set off.

Two things that save a lot of faff:

  1. If you can only play before work, Padium is the earliest start on this list. If you can only play late, Padium again, then the 11pm finishes at Earl's Court, Paddington and Bermondsey.
  2. Check the court type before you pay. "Panoramic" describes the glass, not whether the court is covered. At the mixed clubs, the same app shows indoor and outdoor courts side by side.

Racket hire, if you're new

Not everyone owns a racket yet. Here's what we could find published:

  • Padel Social Club The O2: £5 per racket.
  • Padel Social Club Earl's Court and Paddington: £6.50 per racket, free with a valid student ID.
  • Padel Box Bermondsey: racket hire available, and free for members.

The other clubs don't publish a hire price on the pages we checked, so ask when you book.

Watching good padel in London this winter

Two London clubs are on the LTA's British Tour calendar this winter. A Grade 1 HOP Pro Finals event is at Padium Canary Wharf in the week of 16 November, and a Grade 1 event is at Rocket Padel Ilford in the week of 7 December. Check the LTA's padel event calendar for times before you travel.

What to bring

Most of these clubs have a pro shop, so you can buy balls on the day. A few things are worth having in your bag anyway.

  • Spare overgrips. You can buy them on site, but at 9pm after a sweaty match you want one in your pocket. Our overgrips come in packs of 3 and 6.
  • Grip socks. Ours are £14 a pair.
  • A warm layer for the outdoor courts. Earl's Court, Paddington, the O2, Padium's outdoor courts and Wembley Park are open to the weather. A fleeced, 350 g/m2 Mk1 Box Hoodie is the thing to pull on once you step off court. Add the organic ribbed beanie in winter.
  • Something dry for the bar. Nearly every club above has one. Swap the damp kit for a heavyweight tee before you sit down. Padel & Pints is the obvious one for Stratford's beer garden. Pair it with a second design from the 2 for £90 range.

UK delivery is free on orders of £75 and over, so the hoodie on its own gets you there. Booking courts for a work group? We also print custom t-shirts and hoodies for corporate clients and teams. Email hello@padelism.co.uk.
