The Padelism Story
About two and a half years ago, a mate teased me that he was surprised I didn't have a padel brand yet, because I had a brand for everything else. I said I'd call it Padelism. That night I bought the domain.
I'm a designer. I started as an intern at Manchester United and worked my way up to head of design at a sports marketing agency in Soho. The wordmark was the first thing I designed, and it's barely changed since.
The first heavyweight samples blew me away. They hung properly and held their shape, like the streetwear I've always loved. I wore them to my local club, and when people asked, I said it was my friend's brand. Then one evening in the club garden, two of them ordered on the spot. My phone pinged, and the game was up.
It's still just me. Everything is designed by hand in London, where I was born and bred, and I only make things I'd wear every day.
