Why padel grip socks matter

Padel is short sprints, hard stops and sideways steps. A lot of the slipping happens in the shoe, not under it. A normal sock lets your foot shift each time you plant, and that shift is what rubs.

Our padel grip socks have non-slip grip on the sole to cut down that movement, so foot and shoe work as one. Two sizes, UK 4-7 and UK 8-11. £14 a pair.

One honest tip. Grip socks help a shoe that fits. They can't save one that's a size too big.

Why padel overgrips matter

A new racket handle feels great at first. Then sweat and hours of play wear it down. A slick handle makes you squeeze harder, and a tight hand makes soft volleys harder.

An overgrip is a thin tape you wrap over the base grip, for far less than a full regrip. Ours are sweat-absorbing and easy to put on. Padel overgrips come in a 3 pack for £7 or a 6 pack for £12.

The padel retailer PadelPoint lists these signs that an overgrip is done:

  • You have to squeeze hard to keep control
  • Cracks, whitened patches or frayed edges
  • A sweaty smell that stays after cleaning

The same guide says regular players usually change every 3 to 5 matches, and sooner if you sweat a lot. At that rate a 6 pack covers roughly 18 to 30 matches, at £2 a grip.

Hats, a bag and a mug

Not every accessory is for the court.

  • Caps and a dad hat. The organic cotton dad hat is unstructured with a brass slider, £30. The five panel caps are low profile with a clip strap, from £35. All in headwear.
  • Organic beanie. 100% organic cotton, cuffed, in Black, Oxford Navy, Burgundy and Light Grey. The one for cold early games outdoors. Shop the beanie, £25.
  • Large organic tote. 100% certified organic cotton, 23 litres, with a flat bottom. See the tote, £25.
  • Wake Up For Padel mug. Enamel, white with a silver rim, 8 cm tall and 8.25 cm across. Lead and BPA-free. See the mug, £15.

Accessories FAQ

What size padel grip socks should I get? Two bands: UK 4-7 and UK 8-11. Pick the one that covers your shoe size.

How often should I change my padel overgrip? PadelPoint's guide puts it at every 3 to 5 matches for regular players. Sooner if it cracks, frays or you find yourself squeezing to hold on.

Can I return socks or caps? Yes, within 30 days. For hygiene reasons, socks and headwear must be unworn, unused and in their original packaging. Return postage is on you unless the item is faulty or incorrect. Full details on our returns page.

Is the mug dishwasher safe? No. It's hand-wash only. Don't heat drinks or food directly in it either, as that can damage the coating.
