The Story of Sunday Padel Club

Sunday Padel Club is a Padelism original since 2025. I designed it in April 2025, it went on sale on 10 September 2025, and two days later it had its own post on @padelism.life. It's now five pieces.

This is how it came about, what the artwork is about, and the order the line grew in.

A coffee and a racket

The artwork is two small line drawings: a takeaway coffee cup with steam coming off it, and a padel racket. Under them sit SUNDAY, PADEL and CLUB, stacked on three lines in a serif, with the Padelism. wordmark at the bottom. On the hoodie, sweatshirt and heavyweight tee it runs large across the back. On the two women's pieces a small version sits on the chest.

That's the whole idea. A Sunday morning court with the same three people you always play with. A coffee in the car on the way, or one at the club after. Nobody's chasing a ranking. You play, you argue about the score, you book next week before you leave.

Padel has given me some of my closest friends. Sunday Padel Club is for that side of the game, the relaxed one where the coffee matters as much as the result. I wanted a design that felt like that morning: easy, a bit old school, and something you'd still want on later in the day.

The serif gives it the feel of an old club name, the kind painted above a clubhouse door. Put a coffee cup next to it and it gets warmer and a little tongue in cheek.

April 2025: the first version

The artwork started life in April 2025, in the same working file as a run of tee designs I was building at the time. Everything Padelism makes is designed by hand by me, and not every idea sees the light of day. As I've said before: "It's a piece of my heart and soul, and my skill that I've learned over all these years goes into every single piece."

Sunday Padel Club stayed in that file through the summer and went through a few versions on different artboards. The cup and racket made the final cut.

10 September 2025: it goes live

I finished the final artwork on 10 September 2025 and put it on a sweatshirt that same day. The sweatshirt was the first Sunday Padel Club piece, and it went live on padelism.co.uk that evening.

It sold that night.

Your phone pinging with an order has always been an addictive feeling for me. A brand new design selling within hours of going up is about as good as that gets. It told me I'd made something people wanted.

12 September 2025: the first post

Two days later, on 12 September 2025, Sunday Padel Club got its own post on @padelism.life. A green sweatshirt, cream artwork on the back.

How the line grew

The sweatshirt carried the design on its own through autumn and winter. Then the rest followed, one piece at a time:

When it joined Piece Price
10 September 2025 Sunday Padel Club Sweatshirt £60
27 February 2026 Sunday Padel Club Hoodie £75
28 March 2026 Sunday Padel Club Heavyweight T-Shirt £48
1 July 2026 Cropped hoodie and crewneck tee, cut for women £70 and £44

The hoodie gave it a heavier layer for the cold. The tee, landing at the end of March, meant the design could be worn on warm Sunday mornings too. The two women's pieces arrived on 1 July 2026 with the rest of our women's range.

Why it's heavyweight

The first samples I ordered for Padelism were heavyweight, and they set the bar for everything since.

So the Sunday Padel Club hoodie and sweatshirt are both 350 g/m2, a 42% cotton, 53% polyester and 5% other blend. The tee is 100% cotton at 305 g/m2. Heavyweight fabric hangs well and holds its structure, which is what I always wanted from Padelism.

For how they work with the rest of an off-court outfit, my take is in padel style for men off court. If you play outdoors through the cold months, winter padel: what to wear covers layering.

Picking yours

Every colour, size and measurement for all five pieces sits side by side on the Sunday Padel Club collection. The short version: the sweatshirt is true to size, the hoodie and the heavyweight tee run big (size down for a regular fit), and the women's pieces are true to size. The tee also counts towards any 2 for £90 with another £48 heavyweight tee. Torn between the two warm layers? Hoodie vs sweatshirt goes through it, and every chart is on the size guide.

Each piece is made after you order it, so allow 7 to 10 working days in the UK and 7 to 14 abroad. The hoodie is £75, which is exactly where free UK delivery starts. Christmas orders to UK addresses need to be in by 10 December 2026. Sizes can be swapped, and you have 30 days to return a piece at your own postage cost. See returns and refunds.

Questions about Sunday Padel Club

When did Sunday Padel Club start?

I designed it in April 2025. It first went on sale on 10 September 2025, on a sweatshirt, and had its first Instagram post on @padelism.life on 12 September 2025. It's been a Padelism original ever since.

Who designed Sunday Padel Club?

I did. I'm Dario, I founded Padelism, and I design every piece myself in London. Sunday Padel Club was designed and first sold by Padelism.

Which Sunday Padel Club piece came first?

The sweatshirt, on 10 September 2025. The hoodie joined in February 2026, the heavyweight tee in March 2026, and the women's cropped hoodie and crewneck tee in July 2026.

Where does the artwork sit on each Sunday Padel Club piece?

On the hoodie, sweatshirt and heavyweight tee, the full artwork sits large on the back and the front carries a small Padelism. wordmark on the chest, so it looks clean from the front and tells the story from behind. The women's cropped hoodie and crewneck tee work differently: a small version of the artwork sits on the chest, beside the Padelism. wordmark.
